This policy describes how Runrate: Fuel & EV Cost Log ("the app") handles your information. The short version: your data belongs to you, stays with you, and we never see it.

Data Collection

Runrate does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data with us or with anyone else. There are no accounts, no sign-ins, and no servers of ours.

• Your vehicles and logged stops (odometer readings, fuel and charging amounts, costs) are stored on your device.
• If you are signed in to iCloud, the same data is synced to your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so it survives phone loss or upgrade. This data is encrypted in transit, tied to your Apple Account, and readable by no one but you — not even us. You can disable this by turning off iCloud for Runrate in iOS Settings.
• Apart from your own iCloud sync, the app makes no network connections.
• The app contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs.

The Widget

The home-screen widget reads a small summary (your latest cost figure and trend) stored inside the app's own container on your device. It never connects to the network.

CSV Export

When you export your data as a CSV file, the file is generated on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. Where you send it is entirely up to you.

Permissions

The app requests no permissions at all — no location, no contacts, no notifications, nothing.

Crash Reports

If you have opted in to share diagnostics with Apple (in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymized crash reports with us through its standard developer tools. These reports contain no personal information and are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We use them only to fix bugs.

A Note on Calculations

All cost, trend, and efficiency figures are calculated entirely on your device from the numbers you enter. They are estimates for your own reference.

Children's Privacy

The app does not collect data from anyone, including children.
